Do I have to register Mum's house?


My brother and I are registered owners of my mother’s house. She went through divorce and put up half capital, we took out mortgage as bank wouldn’t lend to her and she made the payments. I understand she is 100% beneficial owner as she has paid to for it all even though not a registered owner. I’ve been told this is a trust and needs to be registered, be is that correctly? Can I do this easily myself?



Yes it is registrable.

It’s entirely possible to do yourself with a simple trust like this. It’s not super easy - it will take some time and possibly some swearing - but it’s doable.
