Executor Loses Capacity after GoP issued

I am dealing with a matter where a lady died some years back. At the time, her property was put into her Executors’ names and the Land Registry recites that they hold the property in this capacity. One Executor (Executor 1) has since died, but a GoP has been taken out for his estate, appointing my client and his brother. The other Executor (Executor 2) has lost capacity. My question is, can my client, as the Executor for Executor 1 act on the sale, without any further authority required?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
