Yes - there is no problem with that. Whilst I don’t normal advocate the used of codicils this might be one of those situations where a codicil should be used if the removal of the burial /cremation clause is the only change.
However as burial/cremation clauses are usually only an expression of wishes in a Will, the simplest way of dealing with it ( if the client is happy with this) may be for the client to sign a letter setting out his up to date wishes and for that to be placed with the Will
