I hope you are all well,
I have posted previously as a non professional friend, all replies were taken on board with respect so, I know im a cheeky bugger but, can I ask if the trustees can do this,
In 2023, there was a case that involved the resetting of 2 Deeds of appointment, one in 2013 and the other in 2014,
In 2024 the trustees stated that my wife, who is a beneficiary, had £546,000 in her pot, this was a property £450,000 and £96,000 cash, the property was purchased for £320,000 in march 2014.
So is right that an increase in valuation should be included within the reset of the deeds, because initially my wife had £538,000 before they purchased the property, i would of thought the figure now in my wifes pot should be £666,000
Correct me if im wrong but it seems they have reduced her funds by adding the increased valuation of the property, to me there is £120,000 not accounted for.
Thanking you in advance
Jai
