Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what attorneys can and can’t do within a lifetrust when they are appointed power of attorney and trustees?

I suspect I may not be the only one to be baffled by this query, which seems to confuse the roles of attorneys and trustees.
Perhaps Paul could help by explaining precisely what he means by a “lifetrust”, and where those “appointed power of attorney” fit into this scenario?

Is the question one of conflict of interest? ie separating the roles if the same person is an attorney for a trustee, and also a trustee as well?
