TRS Service (again)

I won’t do it. HMRC have given a number of workarounds whereby an agent can
give totally incorrect answers to the questions they ask on their TRS
website. Thus, if an address is to be given, give part of it but put in a
particular postcode starting with NK1. Or, if they ask what shares were in
the trust when it was created put in “portfolio of shares” and put in the
total number of shares in the portfolio when the trust was set up (nothing
is said about government stock and whether you should put it in as the
number of pounds held or the number of pence).

I won’t do it. If they can’t get into their own system and change the
wording of the questions they ask, they must expect to get gobbledegook as
answers.
