Trust Corporation

Can anyone point me to a resource where I can check the credentials of an organisation claiming to be a Trust Corporation?

Is there is a central Register?

There is no central register and there are three categories of trust corporation; those affiliated to legal or accountancy practices, regulated by the appropriate professional bodies, those owned by financial institutions regulated by the FCA and unregulated ones that have satisfied the Secretary of State they have sufficient capital funding and are fit and proper persons.
The use of the word “Trust” in a business title is restricted by legislation and all trust corporations must have £250,000 of issued share capital, with £100,000 of that ‘paid up’.
There is a very useful summary of the field in Various_Incapacitated Persons[2018] EWCOP 365._
