Affidavit of due execution

Dear Members

I am dealing with a home made will , the Probate registry require a submission of an affidavit of due execution sworn by one of the attesting witnesses.

I haven’t dealt with anything like this for a while , must it still be another of solicitors that swears the affidavit or can it me me who has sent in the probate application /

I am sure it must be an independent firm. (In any event, is there any point in taking a risk on this with the inevitable delays?)
