Bare trust tax return

Has anyone recently had any luck with HMRC agreeing to the preparation of tax returns for a bare trust, and how long it took to arrange?

At one point HMRC offered a concession for bare trusts which had a lot of beneficiaries which allowed the trust to submit tax returns and pay the tax on behalf of the beneficiaries and then issue them R185s. This saved a lot of time and hassle for HMRC, the trustees of the bare trust and all the beneficiaries. I cannot find details of whether HMRC still offer the concession and how you go about requesting it.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Kind regards
