Cap A5C - Grant de Bonis Non

Hello,

I need to make an application for a Grant de Bonis Non, I have requested the Cap A5C from HMRC but I am still waiting for one to arrive - having looked at similar threads I am not holding out much hope it will arrive soon. Does anyone happen to have a clean copy that could be emailed over to me?

Also I have read conflicting information about whether an IHT205 is required or A5C where the estate is not taxable. Here, the estate is an excepted estate. Has anyone dealt with a similar application recently and have any further guidance?

Many thanks,

Kathryn

I have to make an application for a Grant of Double Probate. Finding the process rather confusing so thought I would search the forum. Only a small amount of shares to be dealt with.

Looking at this thread, Deceased (mum) died 10th January 2004, personal application made by son and estate not taxable (short form IHT205). Power reserved to my client (other son) and applying Executor has now died.

  1. Do I need to submit Cap5C as estate not taxable and no new assets to report?

  2. Alternatively, do I submit the IHT205 at that date (if so does anyone have a copy I can use pretty please?) and send with the paper PA1P?

All assistance gratefully accepted.

Katherine
