Caveat Form PA8A - Signature

A lovely form which doesn’t provide enough space to fit my (apparently lengthy) email address.

It seems advisers can only get on the record (and/or pay by direct debit) by using the paper form.

Does anybody know if I/we can sign the PA8A or does the caveator have to sign personally? The questions appear to be addressed to the caveator even though it asks for details of the legal rep.

For what it is worth, the Probate “Helpline” said that it had to be signed by the individual caveator AND had to be a wet signature, which is crazy when the main process (without a solicitor involved) is all online.
