Does anyone have a blank copy of the Cap A5C form that they are prepared to share with me. I have tried to access this form on the UK Probate site with no luck. This is the final step for my client who is poised to share contracts for property sale. If anyone has this form and can email it to me it would be much appreciated!
It’s HMRC who issue CAPA5Cs.
There is a thread here on TDF where I believe there is an accessible PDF of a CAPA5C.
DBN applications generally take months to issue, I’m waiting on one submitted in November with many fruitless calls to the Prob Reg. My next step is a formal complaint.
Many thanks folks,
Much appreciated.
Yes the Probate office is completely slammed with huge delays everywhere!
Cheers Nic
Point is the delay this will mean for the house sale. You could request the application is expedited, but they may not do so.
There is a Cap A5C in the Oyez suite of documents.
Further to my matter, the Cap A5C was helpful and the client is now selling property and exchange of contract of sale in process however the buyers solicitors have stalled, now asking the vendor to complete the FR1, noting this is a property was never registered though we have the original title deed dated 1927. My understanding is the sale of an unregistered property triggers compulsory first registration with HM land registry. Provided the original deeds, clear root of title and any other documents are provided to prove ownership, it is the buyers solicitors who submits the FR1 + form DL etc and the buyer absorbs costs as part of the conveyancing, from the outset, these complexities around the title were clear to the buyer. I am keen to hold fast and push this process back to the buyer solicitors which seems reasonable to me. Any thoughts?
I have one if you still need it.
