For someone who has been critical of the delays that have taken place when applying for probate online, I would like to say how surprised I was to receive a grant of letters of administration on my return to the office earlier this week. The application was submitted and the legal statement posted on 22 December and the date of issue was 30 December. This is a record as far as I am concerned and reminds me of the good old days when the probate registry of Wales used to turn around applications in a matter of 7- 10 days. May this speed of turnaround continue!
