Conflicts of interest

When dealing with the deceased’s estate, is it wise for the surviving spouse, who is the director of the deceased’s company, who was appointed by the deceased, and appointed as 1 of the 3 executors, 2 other executors are, a chartered accountant, the other a solicitor, the 2 are also trustees.
The Director who is the main primary beneficiary has then appointed the solicitor trustee/executor, to be the secretary for the company…
Personally it seems to be keeping things close to ones chest, concealment maybe

No, it doesn’t sound unusual that a professional executor would be appointed company secretary of a company held by the estate. It would be a way of ensuring that the company’s books are properly maintained.

Thanks Andrew, after recent unfoldings, I just wanted to make sure that this was legal…
