Does the Executor’s Year apply in Scotland? To put my question another way, is statutory or other interest payable on “late” payment of a pecuniary legacy? If so, when is it calculated from and what is the rate of interest?
It doesn’t apply in Scotland. The Administration of Estates Act 1925 applies only to England and Wales.
