Executorship and trusteeship bank facilities

I am an executor (retired professional) and unable to put the executorship to bed as a gift is left in trust. I am unable to open a trust bank account to facilitate matters. Metro have declined me, my high street bank do offer a “personal” trust account, refusing to agree to a distinctly separate corporate trust. BUT is this wise as i will retire as trustee/executor shortly my personal trusteeship ending with the executorship, what of personal liability?
Do i leave the executorship open indefinitley for use as a trust bank account.?
