Help please. My late dad worked for Barclays and had a trust made with Barclays Bank Trust Company Ltd for his half of his property. He died in 2006 but I now need a copy of the trust as the property is being sold. Nobody in the family has any Trust paperwork or proof that it exists other than that a trust is mentioned in his will. How can I obtain his trust paperwork and what would happen if I couldn’t and the property is sold anyway? I have his will and grant of probate.

It is worth looking on Land Registry. There should be some reference to the trust / restriction on the title and hopefully the other trustee’s name (Barclays Trust Co?). Have you asked Barclays for a copy of the trust (you don’t mention that you have)? I would expect them to have something even if only a copy of the original was perhaps given to your father to keep.
I suggest you use a conveyancing solicitor who understands/ deals with trusts on a regular basis.
