Lost Capacity French resident

I act as Guardian for an Alderney resident and have been asked whether I can assist with the following situation.

A friend of theirs has a sister who lives in Paris and has recently been taken into care. I understand that no one is currently dealing with her affairs or ensuring that her financial and other needs are being attended to. She owns a flat in Paris, has never married and has no children. She has three sisters, living in the USA, Canada and South Africa, none of whom speaks French.

This is outside my area of expertise and I do not speak French, so I am not in a position to assist directly.

Does anyone have experience of dealing with loss of capacity/protection of an adult in France, or could anyone recommend a French lawyer or other professional who could assist the family in dealing with her affairs?

Any recommendations or contacts would be very much appreciated.#

Many thanks
