Mental Capacity Test

I am preparing a Will for a client and I know that it will be challeneged later.

I am 100% confident that the gentleman has capacity and so I want to support this with medical evidence.

Can anyone recommend a company who undertakes mental capacity tests, ideally on a fixed fee? What are the likely costs? I could use the gentleman’s GP, but I think this case requires a more robust diagnosis.

We have used OFH Care https://www.ofhcare.co.uk/ for a COP3 assessment. The cost was £576 and the assessor travelled to the client’s home. I believe it is less if the client can travel. The assessment was carried out on 1 November and the completed COP3 received on 11 November 2022.

(The Deputyship application was received by the Court on 15 November but apart from an acknowledgment of the documents we have heard nothing further…)
