Notice of severance - multiple properties

Hello there, hope everyone is keeping well.

My clients wish to sever the tenancy of multiple investment properties. I have prepared one notice of severance listing all of the properties.

Can I take such a short cut when dealing with the Land Registry SEV forms - do I need a SEV for each property (as I suspect) or has anyone ever successfully used one SEV form for multiple properties?

Hi Deborah,

I am fairly certain that you will need separate SEVs for each one. The Land Registry are usually pretty pedantic about things like that.

You could however try and see. The Land Registry would refund the initial fee if they refuse the application but this may cause a delay to the client as the Land Registry have been much slower than normal at processing applications
