On Line Fraud / FCA Warnings

We have a client who is claiming compensation from a bank (Nationwide) for failing to protect her from an on line scam where the fraudsters where on the FCA Warning List of high risk financial transaction counterparties. The bank failed to have a system to connect to the Warning List and therefore had no way of creating a high risk alert to warn their customer before the payments where authiorised. Does anyone else have similar experiences?
