Probate France property and bank account

I have been appointed as executor of a Will deceased was resident in Guernsey.

Husband and wife, husband passed away, everything left to wife and thereafter to only child.

They had property in the South of France, two flats in joint names, one flat in the deceased name, flats worth approximately Eur120K each

In addition they had a joint bank account Eur175K, sole bank account in husbands name Euro100K

Will leaves everything to wife and then to only child.

I am aware that France does not accept executors instructions and therefore we need to appoint a notary to deal with the transfer of the property.

It would be greatly appreciated if a recommendation could be made of a notary who would be able to assist with transferring the property into the wife’s name and their ultimate sale, they are located in the town of Agde near Beziers.

In addition I am looking for some assistance to deal with the bank accounts or does the notary have to deal with this.

Just thinking of joint bank accounts here, does the same hold true for joint bank accounts in France.

Any help or input would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
