Reduction of the National Debt

I have been acting for a small Trust which commenced in 1940 whereby there were successive life interests to whoever was holding a particular Baronetcy at any one time . The line of Barons has ended and upon the ending of the Baronetcy the capital is to be used towards the repayment of the National Debt.
I have written to the Government Legal Department - they say nothing to do with them , i have written to the Treasury and have not heard back - it was only 5 months ago mind.
Any other suggestions would be welcome?
The capital value is now £2,625 and reducing !!

I had one of these a couple of years ago. Writing to the Commissioners for the Relief of the National Debt at the Debt Management Office prompted a response.

Thank you , have written to them

My suggestion is to send a cheque (remember those) or banker’s draft to the Commissioners for the relief of the National Debt, UK Debt Management Office,
The Minster Building, 21 Mincing Lane, London, EC3R 7AG by recorded delivery and then it is their problem.
