I am about to complete the administration of an intestate estate where the PR and sole beneficiary is the deceased’s Russian wife (who is resident in Russia). She is not on a sanctions checklist but has asked me to transfer funds to her account at Sberbank. Sberbank is on the sanctions list but I cannot work out from the govt guidance whether I can transfer funds to the account or not. Can anyone help?
