Share portfolio

I know this is my second question of the day and I should just bore off but when you contact an investment company for a valuation of the share portfolio for probate purposes do you simply ask for a probate valuation or do you specifically ask if there are any trades which have taken place prior to death that have yet to be settled at the date of death? Would you imagine that such a scenario would form part of a formal probate valuation?

Ask for a formal Probate valuation which will automatically embrace any purchases or sales yet to debit/settle.

Thank you - I did but the company didn’t provide that information. I was just wondering if times had changed and probate valuation meant something else nowadays.

Kind regards,

Claire Flood.
