UK trust with South African beneficiary

Hi, I would be grateful if anyone could help with a trust situation I have. The deceased left his estate on a discretionary will trust in the UK and one of his 3 children has left the UK to live in South Africa. Getting funds to him is proving difficult; there are very few trust account providers anyway, and the current provider (while very helpful) will only pay out to a UK bank account i.e. not to the SA son’s account in SA. So the only option I can think of is getting the SA son to open an account in the UK which the trust then pays funds to. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Hi Terry, I’d recommend the son in SA opens an account with Wise (formerly Transfer Wise). They’ll have a main EUR account in Belgium but they can open a GBP account and will have a UK bank account number and sort code for accepting transfers worldwide.
