Wills with Axiom Ince

Hello all,

Has anyone had any joy with obtaining a Will or Will file held by Axiom Ince since the SRA intervention earlier this year?

Husband and wife set up lifetime trusts and created Wills with a firm called Davenport Lyons. Following the trail (Gordon Dadds to Ince Gordon Dadds to Axiom Ince) it seems that the Wills/file would now be held within the SRA intervention archives.

Husband has now died and we are ready to apply for a Grant of Probate. The SRA are advising it is likely to take “several months” to obtain the original Wills.

Aside from proceeding down the route of a r.54 application (which could end up taking longer than the SRA), we are at a standstill until we have the Will.

If anyone has had success requesting files from the SRA before, how long did this take?

Write to Gordon’s LLP they provided us with a probate file within a week
